Bill Gleeson
Expert Fire Safety Engineer
About Halt Fire
Halt Fire is a boutique fire engineering consultancy based in regional Victoria, operating across Australia. Bill founded Halt Fire on a straightforward idea — that clients deserve direct access to the engineer doing the work, not a firm where senior expertise is promised and junior staff are delivered.
Every engagement is handled personally by Bill. No templates, no handoffs, no waiting for someone else to get back to you.
About Bill Gleeson
A fire engineering decision made at the wrong time, or with the wrong advice, can stall a project for months. It can mean rejected applications, budget overruns, and damage to your own professional reputation with your client. Bill has seen the problem from every angle and can give you a straight answer.
Bill spent 12 years as a Firefighter with the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service, before moving into fire engineering in 2016. Formerly the Fire Engineer for Northern Territory Government, he has worked both sides of the process — reviewing performance solutions as an authority, then delivering them as a registered senior fire safety engineer in Melbourne.
Bill understands how fire services, regulators, and approval bodies think. He's logical, practical, and direct — the kind of engineer who tells you what you need to know, not what you want to hear.
